The Newton County Industrial Development Authority (NCIDA) has released its first-ever Impact Review, offering a powerful look at the initiatives, partnerships, and milestones that defined NCIDA Impact Review Q1 2025. From launching workforce programs to hosting statewide events and advancing major projects like Archer Aviation and Takeda’s sustainability facility, NCIDA continues to shape the region’s economic landscape.

Archer Aviation’s new 400,000 sq. ft. facility is gearing up for full-scale Midnight eVTOL production, poised to deliver 650 aircraft annually. Meanwhile, Takeda’s $10M biomedical plastic recycling plant in Covington marks a bold step toward zero waste, positioning Newton County as a leader in sustainable manufacturing.

On the workforce front, NCIDA and NCS launched the Gateway Program, a hands-on initiative introducing high school juniors and seniors to high-growth industry careers. The county also hosted the Be Pro Be Proud truck, giving over 500 students real-world exposure to skilled trade paths.

NCIDA’s advocacy work remains front and center, with leaders participating in the Georgia Legislative Session and Newton Industry Day at the Capitol, fostering deeper connections with lawmakers and key stakeholders. The organization was also celebrated at NCSS's “State of the District,” reflecting its growing influence on education and workforce alignment.

As Newton County continues to attract high-impact investment and industry recognition—including the Covington Town Center earning “Deal of the Year”—NCIDA remains a driving force for regional prosperity.
