The Newton County School System envisions students, who through a rigorous and relevant education, will be able to think critically in order to produce, perform, create, and communicate their knowledge competitively to a hyper-connected, global audience. The Newton County School System serves the entire county including the five municipalities located within the county. The 23 schools are organized into: Newton County residents are proud of their growing school system. All Newton County schools meet the standards of the Georgia Department of Education and are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Newton County students are recognized at the state and national level for excellence in academics, athletics, the arts and extra-curricular activities. All schools offer a wide array of programs, including services for both academically gifted students and students with disabilities.
NEWTON COLLEGE AND CAREER ACADEMY
With full support of the Newton County Board of Education, the Newton County Chamber of Commerce, and our community and business leaders, the Newton College and Career Academy (NCCA) was created to enhance academic achievement and provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in postsecondary education and the workforce. Students graduating from NCCA have the opportunity to connect more directly with their career paths and earn industry credentials in addition to their high school diploma, increasing the chance for students to be gainfully employed in a very competitive work environment. Programs at NCCA focus in areas that are high skill, high wage, and high demand occupations.

Georgia Bioscience Training Center
The facility features custom-made technology that simulates Baxalta’s biomanufacturing processes such as centrifugation, chromatography, nanofiltration and aseptic filling. It also has space for the aseptic production of pharmaceutical-grade clinical samples. Additionally, the training center is equipped to deliver training on a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies including mechatronics, metrology and process controls.
Georgia Quick Start
For more than 40 years, Georgia Quick Start has provided customized workforce training free-of-charge to qualified businesses in Georgia. Georgia Tech is launching a fast-track, online certification program to help promote increased participation from the minority youth in Newton County in high-growth careers. If you are a 16-24 old Newton County resident interested in a career in Logistics, this program is designed for you and can help you to compete for jobs and successful careers in supply chain and logistics.
